In our current world climate, with the COVID-19 pandemic and many staying forced to stay at home, we want you to know SERVPRO of Fort Lauderdale North is always here for you. Our homes are right now our base for our personal and professional lives, making it increasingly important to handle situations that may disrupt our safe haven quickly and efficiently.
Every business and family has had to make adjustments during these challenging times, and we wanted to provide you with an update regarding our operations and assure you that SERVPRO is still here to help, 24/7, should our services be required. All of our office, business development and relationship managers are working remotely, but remained connected and available due to virtual office technology that we have deployed.
SERVPRO technicians has been designated as "professionals performing essential services." As a result, we continue to respond to the most pressing disaster restoration, cleanup and disinfection issues facing our customers -- whether it involves emergency mitigation and recovery or cleaning and disinfection businesses, homes, schools, or healthcare and quarantine facilities.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - We always wear appropriate PPE on projects. Our employees are trained on the proper ways to put on, dispose of and clean this equipment in a safe manner.
Health Screening - We are asking customers whether they or any occupants in their home or building have been feeling unwell. If we are performing any disinfection services, we ask to certify whether anyone at their location has been identified as a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case. We are also screening our technicians daily for early onset symptoms.
Social Distancing - We love our customers, but for the safety of your family, tenants as well as our employees, we will be following CDC guidelines regarding social distancing. If possible, we are requesting that no non-SERVPRO personnel be present in the rooms we are cleaning or remediating.

As part of our support for KID, we are proud to announce our participation team, the SERVPRO DUCK CLEANERS at the 2020 Duck Fest Derby presented by JM Family Enterprises, Inc. There will be a wonderful part of the event in which the audience will cheer on a goal of 40,000 rubber ducks as they float down the New River at Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale to see which duck makes it to the finish line first. And the duck that crosses the finish line first wins a $10,000 prize. The event will be on March 28th.
Fire, Mold, Water Clean Up Promotion
For every restoration and clean up service we complete between now and the Duck Fest Derby, we will be donating an entry on our customers’ behalf into the competition to support the kids in the community as long as ducks are still available.

The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is Coming!
We wanted to remind everyone that the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show will open on Thursday, November 3rd and run until Monday, November 7th. We love boats, so we are excited for this years event, and we hope you are too.
Not only do we love seeing boats, we also love working on them. We know that your nautical refuge is your pride and joy, but also how easily they can be threatened. Water in the cabin or below deck can he a real troublemaker, and can set the stage for potentially dangerous mold growth. But boat owners can breathe a little easier knowing that SERVPRO of Fort Lauderdale North has a proven track record with marine restoration projects including marine mold remediation.

The 2016 Red Cross Dine and Dock

The American Red Cross of Fort Lauderdale entertained SERVPRO of Fort Lauderdale North and honored humanitarian leaders in their recent Dine and Dock.
SERVPRO of Fort Lauderdale North had the pleasure of attending the 2016 Red Cross Dine and Dock. The view was stunning from the HYATT Pier 66 overlooking the waterfront, as guests enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres, knowing that their admission benefits powerful causes such as aiding in the Red Cross’ response to local disasters, ranging from home fires that affect a single family to hurricanes that affect tens of thousands.
The food smelled delicious and the sunset was absolutely stunning as guests made their way into the Panorama Room. The options for food seemed endless, and following the feast was a celebrity auction. Soon after was the highlight of the evening, the Humanitarian awards, honoring humanitarian leaders in the South Florida area for their generous contributions to society.

SERVPRO of Plantation recently had the pleasure of not only attending the 18th annual Wine Jazz and Taste of Plantation, but also participating as a sponsor of this fantastic event. The Plantation Chamber of Commerce did a wonderful job gathering local restaurants and businesses from the community. The delicious array of food paired with tasteful varieties of wine made for an enjoyable night of connecting and networking with the community.

American Red Cross Events

SERVPRO is proud to announce its participation of sponsoring the American Red Cross in local events. It’s important for Red Cross sponsors to be active in the events the Red Cross hosts so we do our best to show our face. The most recent event that we attended was the Sips for Tips event, held at the Mod Wine Lounge. The event was hosted so that 20% of bottle sales benefited the American Red Cross, allowing the organization to maximize what they receive to help others.
Another upcoming event that we will be attending hosted by the American Red Cross will be the Dine and Dock event. This event will be a VIP Celebrity auction event with the presentation of the 2016 Humanitarian awards. All proceeds raised from this event benefit the American Red Cross aiding in their response to local disasters, ranging from home fires that affect a single family to hurricanes that affect tens of thousands.
